When are you allowed to teach a course?

Heb je jarenlange ervaring in je vakgebied? Dan is dat meestal voldoende basis om een cursus te starten. Je hoeft geen specifieke onderwijsbevoegdheid te hebben om jouw kennis over te dragen.
Some examples:
- Management courses: If you have years of experience as a manager, you can share your knowledge and insights without a specific teaching degree.
- Language courses: If you are fluent in French, for example because you are a native speaker, you can help others learn this language.
- Leadership Training: What is your leadership style? And how do you want to manage your team? There are various leadership courses that can be given in a variety of work formats. The space at KW9 offers the flexibility you need here.
- Writing Workshops: If you are a published author or have a lot of experience with writing, you can share your techniques and knowledge with others. For example, as we have welcomed for several years the Writing Garden of Janneke Jonkman.
- First Aid Courses: Do you have a background as a nurse or first aid instructor? Then you can share your practical knowledge about first aid.

Let op bij licenties: Werk je met specifieke methodieken of software (zoals Adobe Photoshop of gecertificeerde EHBO-methodes)? Zorg dan dat je de juiste licenties hebt om dit materiaal te mogen onderwijzen. Respecteer het auteursrecht en de regels van de software-eigenaar.
When can you issue a certificate?
Many course participants want to be able to benefit from this after the course. Think of a mention on their LinkedIn or resume. Therefore, sometimes participants ask for a certificate, but that may not be given lightly.
As mentioned, you may only issue an official certificate if you yourself have the appropriate certification for it. This means, for example, that if you have a certificate for Adobe Photoshop, you cannot automatically issue certificates for this course. For this you need a separate license. You must then be an accredited Adobe trainer and meet their certification requirements. This also applies to first aid certificates, for example. If you teach a first aid course, you must be accredited by an organization such as the Red Cross.
What you can always award is a certificate of participation. With a certificate of participation, on which you state for example the topics covered and the level of difficulty, your participants can still demonstrate their knowledge of the subject. Participants can also add a certificate of participation to their LinkedIn profile or resume.

- Adobe Photoshop cursus: Je kunt deelnemers een certificaat van deelname geven waarop staat welke technieken en tools behandeld zijn, zodat ze dit kunnen vermelden op hun CV of LinkedIn-profiel.
- Writing workshop: A certificate of participation can list the writing techniques and genres covered, such as creative writing, business writing or columns.
- Photography course: Indicate on the certificate which photography principles and techniques were covered, such as portrait photography, landscape photography and post-processing.
