Personal coaching, mental coaching, relationship coaching, grief coaching, career coaching, lifestyle coaching, executive coaching, team coaching.... coaching comes in many shapes and sizes. But a good coaching session? That hinges on striking the right chord. And where better to strike that chord than in an inspiring, personal coaching space where you feel at ease? So in this article we tell you everything you need to know about renting a coach space in Amsterdam.
Why rent a coaching space?
Renting your own coach space in Amsterdam shows that you are serious and professional as a coach. People searching for you online - and they will - see your address and that often gives a safe and professional image. People are more likely to trust a company with a physical location, especially with something as personal as coaching.
So if you do it right, rent a coaching space that is safe and inviting. This is where your clients can easily open up. Everything from the coffee to the art on the wall shows something of you and appeals to your clients.
A rented coaching space provides structure, something you cannot easily achieve with online coaching. This builds trust and privacy. Renting a physical coaching space in Amsterdam can subconsciously give extra security to your clients.
Practically speaking, renting your own coaching space also helps you keep everything well organized and efficient. You decide how to use your space.
Another important benefit that is often underestimated is the separation of work and home. Especially in the beginning - as a starting coach - it is tempting to coach at home via online sessions to save costs. But this can blur the lines between work and home, making it difficult to really relax in the evenings. Renting your own coaching space in Amsterdam helps you keep these boundaries separate. A kind of working arrangement with yourself!

Coach space rental Amsterdam: how big should the space be?
When choosing your coaching space, there are no strict rules about size. It's all about what you and your clients need. You can do this by thinking about: what does your practice look like now and what are your plans for later? Will a small room be enough for one-on-one conversations or will you also lead group sessions with, say, 10 people?
And how do you want your practice to grow? This helps determine whether the space you choose now will still suffice later. For personal talks, you'll probably need a smaller space with some comfortable chairs, a desk and a few plants. For larger groups, you'll need more space, perhaps even a hall.
